Germany's startup ecosystem faces a critical moment, with 11% fearing insolvency and nearly half reporting worsening conditions; to compete globally, there’s an urgent need to shift from cautious, risk-averse practices to a more agile, innovation-driven mindset supported by stronger government aid, international collaboration, and adaptable support systems.
Launching start-ups comes with risks. Only a small percentage manage to thrive in the long run. We are well aware of this, though it never becomes easier to close a chapter. Despite our best efforts, we were unfortunately not able to build a sustainable business model for our venture EuerZuhause. As a result, we will wind down the operations by the end of the year. Securing external investments, a key goal for this year, also did not materialize as hoped. While winding down the business, we are evaluating potential assets that could be leveraged for future opportunities.
